Evaluating Informal Learning

According to some sources, informal learning accounts for as much as 70 percent of all learning in the workplace. But how do we evaluate this type of learning? Given our backgrounds with criterion-referenced instruction and the Kirkpatrick methodology, Training and Development professionals might try to measure the extent to which learners achieved the objectives and the resulting impact. But this approach is philosophically and practically inconsistent with informal learning, in which learners usually establish their own objectives and determine for themselves what successful completion looks like. So what can you do? This webinar offers suggestions.
