New and Innovative Learning Trends in Healthcare

Catholic Health Initiatives and Slalom Consulting have partnered together to create a lean learning approach to a baseline manager development program called, Exceptional Managers for Exceptional PeopleÂ©. Specific content areas, Coaching, Change Management, Business Acumen, etc., that used to take individuals out of their job for days at a time have been redesigned to provide just in time content, aimed to support the day to day needs of line level managers. This program supports all people managers in the organization, currently at 10,000, and will continue to evolve with Catholic Health's leadership development strategy. With the constant change of healthcare policy and generational trends, organizations today have to think in broader terms in regards to their learning strategies. The objective of this session is to showcase new and innovative solutions for just in time training within this healthcare organization. Participants will gain an understanding of how to leverage Lean Learning concepts across their training programs. Whether it's leadership development, sales or specific compliance courses, lean learning concepts can be applied to any solution set within an healthcare organization. Showcasing technology solutions like SharePoint platforms, gamification (mLevel) and LMS capabilities, this session will give the participant some basic tools to start revisiting their learning and development programs.
