The State of Video For Talent Development in 2020 and Beyond

Speaker: Christian Rockwell

We have seen video grow exponentially in the last several years as people move away from the written word in favor of the more engaging format of video. Globally, video will become more than 80 percent of all internet traffic (business and consumer) by 2022—up 75 percent from 2017. At the same time, the workforce demographics are having a major impact on how technology is used to communicate. No one understands this video revolution more than training and talent development professionals. Videos offer better engagement. Research by Forrester indicates that employees prefer watching a video by 75 percent versus reading emails or web articles. A study by SAVO Group suggests the average employee will have forgotten 65 percent of training material seven days after a training session. However, with the inclusion of video, a person’s ability to retain information increases by 9 percent. Vbrick has partnered with the Association for Talent Development to conduct a survey of the ATD member community on how the use of video has evolved. Attend this webcast to learn how training professionals are reimagining how video is used to train and how they are leveraging video for new and exciting use cases that will continue to drive the growth of video in 2020 and beyond. During this webcast you will: - Understand the trends impacting the growth and adoption of video for talent development. - Learn about the key use cases for video to support learning and talent development. - Discover best practices for implementing a video strategy to support learning and talent development.
