Developing a Training Assessment Strategy for Immersive Environments

When people think of emerging learning technology, they think of augmented reality, virtual reality, and mobile learning. These platforms allow learners to interact with content in engaging, meaningful experiences. They also provide the ability to evaluate learning outcomes in new ways. Performance assessments are not limited to 'smile sheets' and multiple-choice questions; it's now possible to extract and evaluate data about the learning process as it occurs. This session will share research being conducted on how to use these learning data to predict learning outcomes, support instructors, and evaluate training effectiveness. You'll learn about how to think about measuring learning outcomes and what that means for your organization.
