Making Microlearning Work at Work
Speaker: Carla Torgerson
Microlearning, or nanolearning --- defined as providing learning material in short bursts that anyone can access anytime --- is being touted as the next big thing. We all have personal experiences of learning in this way, but how do we apply it to corporate learning? In this session, we will look at what microlearning is and why it's hot now. We will also talk briefly about how you can use MILE, or the MIcroLEarning Design Model, and the Three Cs (curate, create, crowdsource) to develop your own microlearning program. Additionally, we'll look at a sample microlearning program we designed and lessons learned for developing your program. You will leave empowered to capitalize on this new type of education to meet the needs of modern learners!
