From the TechKnowledge 2016 Conference: A new breed of hyperconnected, game-savvy employees want to be engaged, in control, and part of a dynamic story line. Transmedia storytelling leverages the explosion of screens and devices to tell interconnected narratives that reach employees more widely and engage with them more deeply. Launched as mini television shows or incorporated into games, these stories thrive on engagement, storytelling, character identification, immersion, problem solving, control, and a feeling of accomplishment. This session will show how transmedia storytelling and gamification are redefining learning. The speaker will demonstrate how Kimberly-Clark weaves compelling transmedia stories across a multitude of media, including video dramas, podcasts, and animated scribe videos. You'll also experience innovative games from the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, Intuit, and Hewlett-Packard.
